Blog on filming.

Today we are to write a  blog about our filming experience.

While we were filming i played a  part in the film as 'Olivia', originally i was going to be Jane but we changed the film because it was inappropriate for the cast as many are under 18.  The film was made shorter and i played a minor role and i also was the Filmer on the last day to finish the filming.

Locations we used: The student union building, outside in the college grounds and a lab room.

John - George
Kyle - Ali
Ryan - Scott
Olivia - Olivia

Megyn was the filming crew because she couldn't be in on the last day of filming due to her 'new' year.

My Opinion.

When i was starting to film i thought it would be easy but i was wrong it was possibly one of the hardest things about this course. We had many different issues such as: Script, Lack of crew And many other issues. Our film is not the best that we could do but it is certainly well done because f the time scale that we had to perform it in. As our film changed a  few times.

I have enjoyed working on it and i would say that it is possibly one of those experiences that will stick by me.

All we have to do now is Edit our film.

Overall i have enjoyed making this film and the team building which has been involved.

This has been my first experience of an educational establishment, an it has been an eye opener, I guess i have the lecturers and the guys to thank for that...

Html Blog LOST D:

Okay this is a  re-do blog as i have misplaced the actual blog.

Html is a language that web designers use to create the web pages.
Below is a  list of things to do wih html.
<html>
<body>

"I am born digital"

Born Digital (question one).

I believe this statement actually answers the question for itself, born digital... There is a lot to say about being born digital, however i am going to attempt to put it slightly smaller than i would like to and i will edit it to expand.

Basically, if you are born 1980 onwards you are born digital. Anytime before 1980 you have to learn the language.

Question 2.

I stay near the university, however i have not been in a  while and it has changed alot since i was last there...
Like the shelves in the libaray! They were awesome..

Question3

The mcrobert art centre is a  centre for arts. it also has many facilities for the whole family.

Question4

The 'Puppet animation festival'.

There are many workshops which i fancy going to :)

Hannahs class

Today in Hannah's class we worked towards our posters due to the lack of people here.
here is the start of my poster.

Hannah's class - research.

I like this poster because of how bold the arm looks on the plain background.
i like this one because of the strong colours.
this attracted me by the bio sign, we are using this for our title sequence.
This is very comical and i feel this would be quite a  good poster to advertise the film.
this is quite a  scary one... however i think it looks really great!

Dee's class pictures of story board.

Seeing as i have been unable to upload these photographs until now i have chosen to upload these at the present moment in time.

Dee's Class more title research!

I've continued to research the  title sequences and i have came across a  few really interesting ones!!
In this blog post i am going to put some pictures and why i like them then in the next blog i am going to complete the task which we had been given on moodle. So as follows:

1. The first animated title sequence i have chosen is   'Greases' title sequence as it is an earlier one and i really like the style especially the portraits.

2. This is my second sequence, it is different from the last one i chose

Dee's Class Title Sequence research 1.

A title sequence in my opinion is a  opening to the film to make the opening credits more interesting. rather then just having names scrolling down the screen. It adds colour and artistic relevance to it. It is seen in all films these days.

A title sequences purpose is to make the film entertaining from the very start it is also to draw us into the film, this creating a interesting atmosphere.

The first title sequence was created in 1936 for a  film called 'Show Boat' by James Whale.

Johns Class - Documentaries

Sir David Frederick Attenborugh, is a broadcaster / naturalist. He has been documentarian for 50 years, creating hundreds of documentaries on natural life such as animals, habitat and insects. Before he was a  presenter he was in the navy, clearly a  man of many talents.  During world war 2  his parents adopted two jewish girls, that making the total in the house being 7, himself, his mother, father, elder and younger brother.

He is also currently the chief scout leader, in charge of many tasks which the Scouting organization brings up. As i am a  young leader i can talk quite a lot about the Scouting organization, such as the different sections and age groups. such as: Beavers ( 5-7 Years old) Cubs (7-10 Years old) Scouts (10-14 years old) Explorers (14-18 years old). Then you move on the your basic adult leader training carrying on what you have learnt through out the sections.

Title Sequence - research

Title sequences are not to be confused with the opening credits!

In researching this topic i came across a  site (listed below) it had plenty examples of title sequences, this helping to stretch my knowledge of animation.

Types of Sequence titles i liked and thought we could incorporate into the Zombie film are as follows:

1.Mr. Magorium's wonder emporium, i like the colour of this title:

2.  Coraline - it is quite a  dark film

Hannah Keba ( Task 1) Animation.

Task one, Part 4.

There are many differences between early and 'contemporary' animation these are not only to do with the style of animation changing it is also to do with colour and sound and quality such as if you look at the Simpsons over the years you will notice the massive changes in colour, sound, style and attitude!
I feel it is possibly to do with the fan base growing and it being more acceptable to have more 'quirkiness'   then they did when it first started.

Task one, part 5.

My favourite animation? that is quite tough because i am quite passionate about animation.
i suppose film wise it would be between Howls Moving Castle and Toystory so what i'll say is my favourite Non Disney animé is Howls Moving Castle and my favourite Disney film is Toystory.
I also like Manga / Graphic novels such as : Hot gimmick and Negima these being my favourites.
I have always liked anime so i don't really have a  reason for liking it i just always have!

Hannah Keba ( Task 1) Animation.

Task one, Part  three.

There are lots of developed animation techniques which have grown over the years and some newly born animation!
I have chosen two different new techniques such as : Computer animation and  Manga.
Most of Disney's/Pixar's  newer films are computer animated, for example take Toystory or Monsters Inc? they are both very Cgi animated.
Below i have pictures of computer animated pictures.
The other contemporary animation i have chosen is Manga, manga is very special to me it is my favourite type of animation, i have pictures of those as well below first is computer animation then manga.

Hannah Keba ( Task 1) Animation.

Task one. Part one.

Animation is a collection of hand/computer images combined into a short film or commercial they are normally for entertainment purposes and they are 2D and 3D formats.

Animation has developed across the years you just have to look at things like the Simpsons or Disney films and compare the original type of drawings to the much more modern techniques.

Task one. Part two

Animation first came about through comic strips in newspapers, the first animation film made was in 1906  Humorous Phrases of  Funny Faces by cartoonist J. Stuart Blackton.

There was later an animated film done completely in line drawings which was made by a French man called Emile Cohl in 1908 called  Fantasmagorie. These were both done in similar styles i have put in pictures below of them: first is Fantasmagorie Second is Humorous Phrases of Funny Faces

These are two early types of animation however they are both similar in ways that are they are both line drawings.
Below is another example of animation Walt Disneys Micky mouse! Micky mouse was created in 1928 and has developed over time into what it is today. below are a  few pictures of Micky mouse:

Hannah Keba Class : Animation. (1)

(1)
There are lots of different types of animation, and ways of creating them.. Such as in the 'olden' days there were ways of looking at animation such as : Flipbooks and a Zoetrope these are only two examples of how animation is made, cause being honest if i was to list all of them it would take forever!
Here is a  picture of a Zoetrope
 And a Flipbook!
